I didn’t take the straight road. I took the one with detours, breakdowns, rewiring – and some epic signal strength.
🌾 1989 – From Dirt to DOS
Started as a farm trainee just before the wall fell. Switched tracks fast: car painting, drywalling, whatever paid. But something deeper pulled me in – tech.
💾 1990–1995 – Cracked Cases & Startup Sparks
First Atari. First PC. Crashed more operating systems than most people knew existed. Learned by breaking. Rebuilt by understanding.
🖥️ 2001–2004 – From Home Rigs to Hostmaster
Ran game servers from home. Learned Apache, BIND, MySQL at 3am. Became Hostmaster. Managed 100+ websites. Cut my teeth on real systems under real pressure.
🏢 2004+ – Enterprise Networks
System Engineer at Deutsche Telekom. Went deep into Microsoft. Then even deeper into networking.
